You should have kept on going

You have no idea how difficult it is to Dremel through a Microwave :/
@lifeinhd you cannot run Leo on a G3. At all. For some reason apple cut out all G3 support…
I’m pretty sure someone on MacMod did a project where they managed to install Leopard on a pre-G3 machine.
Notice i said G3 support. You can run Leo on a PowerMac G3 (either beige or blue) or a PowerBook Pizmo if you upgrade them to a G4 CPU and do some trickery in the installer.
Hot enough to burn the thermal paste off the heat sync and for it to fill the case with smoke
Hmm, nice.I’ve wanted to do liquid cooling on my G5 for awhile, but couldn’t justify ruining such a nice case
Maybe if more caps blow, I’ll try it.
If you weren’t sure what the result of your OCing was going to be, then how did you know to add all that extra cooling?
Well oridgonaly it was 500mhz nd I put it up to 600mhz nd I added the cooling then then when I booted it after the severl hundreth overclock and saw that it was 2.5 ghz I immediatly turned it off and added more cooling then it kept kernal panicking so I added more cooling qnt that seemed to fix it so the cooling was not all added at the same time
Any idea how hot it got?
