   I don’t understand why people on youtube have such slow startup times on their imac G5. I have a 1.8 ghz model and it will start up in about 38 sec. which is about the same time your macbook started.

   Hi i just an imac g5 1.6ghz second hand and it’s running tiger the guy i bought it off said i could run leopard on it but my friend said that the processor is too slow for leopard can you give me some advice as you seem to know alot thanks.

   ok the specs for leopard is 700 mhz or more, 512 mb ram ( i think) and PPC g4. so you could even run it on an imac g4. the g5 is great for it.

   Leopard will run just fine! My friend has the same computer with Leopard.

   my pc is about 5 years old and it is slow as dirt. my friend’s dad let me use an imac G3 which had a 500 MHz PowerPC G3 processor and it was 100X faster than my PC and the imac is like 10 years old
