The i5 isn’t really, really ‘top of the line’ is it? That would be the i7 bro.

Arguing the point that the Mac looks better than the PC, as 1981z28camaro stated is nonsense, you can make a PC look like whatever you want. Sure, the Mac’s look awesome, but if you buy a mac soley for the way it looks, you need help, not a computer. PC’s have better peripheral support and more software available, but VMware and BootCamp now both offer the WIndows feel for a mac. Both PCs and Macs have their merits and flaws. Oh and OSX is Unix based, not Linux as someone mentioned earlier.

  4. stoatythesecond says:

You cannot fault the design of the mac, it is a thing to behold and that is what you pay for. You also pay for an operating system which is designed to run on specific hardware. WIndows is so flakey because it has to support tens of thousands of different types of hardware, OSX doesn’t. Anyone that has used a mac will vouch, the OS is incredibly slick, unfortunately, unless Microsoft start specifying their hardware, WIndows will always be lagging behind on speed, design and usability.

@stoatythesecond you cannot compare MacOSX and FreeBSD to Windows Architecture

Leaving Linux out of the picture? Not such a good idea Mac Boy and PC Boy down there :P I like big screens and 27″ is sweetness!

I don’t place games …. get it? Or is it something I need to repeat.Macs don’t just excel at Photo Editing … but other areas as well. Better UI/user experience, Better pre-packaged software. Some of that is subjective, but that’s just my opinion, and many others. The bottom line is you cannot deny that there’s growing number of people that like MACs. That’s just a fact. You don’t have to like it … really.I respect your decision to use your PC, but Macs have its merits.

Case + Monitor > Monitor with computer built-in …get it? Or is this still not obvious to you?I know what a SFF PC is …. plz.Have you seen what a SFF case looks? Pretty darn large still compared to iMac.PCs do sound pretty noisy. It’s just a fact. Those reason’s might not sound important to you … but it doesn’t mean it isn’t important to other people. It’s not a pro Mac thing or not … just reality.Where do you find a i5/7 computer in the same form factor as iMac for that price?

  9. 1981z28camaro says:

anyways, you just ignored completely what I said about getting a silent case fan, and so a PC case is bigger, so what..it’s not like 10 times bigger.you’re not packing it around with you all the time are you?like I said, poor arguments.

  10. erchan2000 says:

It’s BIGGER. If you like a bigger PC, that’s fine. But the REALITY is iMac is the smallest form factor.Again, you have a GET a silent PC case fan. Custom Order and custom built it. But then again, you can also customize a Mac to make it even better than a regular Mac as well. The iMac comes is better than its direct competitors. That’s just a fact. It’s not a PC for everyone, but for the market they are after, it’s the best in class.Plz listen to facts … its really helps.

Got something to say? Go for it!
