I’m curious how WoW runs and looks on Windows compared to Mac OS version. I might be wrong, but it seems like the graphics are a bit simplified in Mac WoW. Thanks for the vid!

  2. sambo110 says:

Graphics are the same, performance is about the same.

  3. Zephear says:

I’ve just made a comparison and they are the same except for the shadows, which can be set to higher quality on Windows for some reason.

  4. sambo110 says:

Probably something to do with DirectX. Doesn’t matter too much, shadows don’t really add anything to the game.

  5. Zephear says:

Shadows on max look really cool :)

  6. sambo110 says:

It should run better soon, Blizzard screwed up Mac performance with 3.3.

I have everything turned up on mine and I get a consistant 60fps on my 27″ core i5.

Interesting…..Even Multisampling? to 8x? I don’t think the 512MB 4850 could handle that? I Had a 4890 crossfire setup in my pc at the same resolution and it would run at consistent 40-50 except in Dalaran with everything turned up. Cool though!
