    make it simpler connect your audio from the IPAD with a bluetooth speaker reciever like jabra device for radio I’m sure there is a bluetooth reciever that can plug into a usb port on your audio system. BLUETOOTH IS YOUR SOLUTION !!..

    @MrNT23
    thats just like saying radios shuold be eliminated from cars because they cause crashes on people looking for stations. accidents happen, but thats the persons fault not the radio’s.

    You’re all wasting your time! Ipads overheat outside! Their tech specs tell the sad story!
    From Apple’s website:
    Environmental requirements

    * Operating temperature: 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C)
    * Nonoperating temperature: -4° to 113° F (-20° to 45° C)

    It will FREEZE in winter at 32F and OVERHEAT in summer at 95F! ANY car is WAY beyond these specs! In SC where I live, it will overhead OFF as any car is over 113F sitting in any parking lot in the sun!
    Too bad Apple is so stupid!

    @blunationwide2 because then the Digital to audio conversion would happen in the bluetooth unit. and that would be worse than letting the ipad do the conversion. for high-end setups we like to use a high end DAC. so by getting digital signal into the bit one via optical, we can get a clean conversion into our amplifier.

  23. blunationwide2 says:

    Why don’t you use Bluetooth.. Bluetooth pulls full digital. And once the ipad is within range of the car bluetooth, it will allow automatically connect. I have my house sound system and my car connected via bluetooth. Some bluetooths are not allowed on the ipad, but what I ended up doing is temporarily purchasing an APPLE Compatible Audio bluetooth, and ripping the firmware information.
