    are you able to fix my ipod touch 1st gen. It works but the light doesnt i can barely see the screen its dark. i tried seeing if its the settings for the brightness but no. I was told it was do to water damage. but cant it be replaced with a new digitizer?

    how on earth do you get the little plastic tool into the case in the first place? I used 4 different pry tools and they’ve all broken and the back case hasn’t budged. Each one has either been shredded apart when trying to run it along the seem or snapped at the tip with the plastic still stuck in between the ipod case!

    its a shame you dont provide a video on how to put it back together, my ipod wont be back after this surgery i just did. Oh well it was only 14 bucks at a pawn shop

    @DigiExpress This is much harder than the video would suggest. the ipods in these vids on you tube have been opened already before the vids

    The iPod Touch models are more difficult to open than some other iPod models. Please consider that our technicians do this everyday, so yes, it would look easier on the video than a novice attempting to open one. We highly recommend using our repair service for any of the Touch or iPhone models. Our labor cost is only $25.

    i did it and when i put in the battery the apple logo was there for exactly 5 minutes and all my data got erased what hapened?
