    can you also use a “SATA II” hard drive?

    You can, but unless its a late 08 aluminum, or early 2009 white model the SATA bus is still limited to 1.5gbps

    So from what I see you just need a 2,5″ Serial ATA drive and you’re good to go.

    Hmmm…an independent Apple reseller that does their own in-house repairs might have some. Or you could try a well-stocked hardware store…
