The hard drive that you need to buy is “Samsung 1.8″ HS082HB 80GB ZIF/LIF Hard Drive 8MB 5MM” The model number is “HS082HB.” I actually did this repair on my Macbook Air. It took three tries to get the hard drive to work properly, but I got it working. The most important step is that there is a little black release on the connector to the hard drive which must be popped up before you can disconnect/reconnect it. Thank youï»¿ for the video though!

I bought it purely cause of it size…being a student this makes a huge difference when Iï»¿ have to carry 2-4 textbooks at the same time. Also there’s a lot of power in a small size. And I got one on ebay for $750…I wouldn’t buy one new over a macbook pro though, but since I got a great one used, it was worth it!
