Can you watch my video and help me with my problem? Oh, and was that a Flatface sticker I saw on your desk at the first?

@kakejelly if you have plugged the screen in before it should display through the screen right away, if not you might have to open up the displays in the system preferences. though you should just be able to plug it in and then wake it from the mouse or keyboard and should work fine

Do you have to turn the macbook on before plugging the screen in? Or can you just have it on sleep, go into the room with the screen, plug the screen in and tap or move the mouse and it wakes up and displays through the screen?

thanks for the reply! i won’t be needing dual monitors, i’ll just mirror the image that’s why i would like to close my macbook. right now i just felt my macbook’s keyboard and left of the trackpad and there’s definitely some heat there. hopefully while it’s connected to my hdtv there won’t be any heat on the surface. thanks so much! one more question :) what did you use to get audio through your tv/external monitor?

  5. EShawful says:

@0ldSkool27 i have never had a issue with heat using my Macbook Pro, and I don’t get any heat through the keyboard, if it gets warm at all it is on the bottom (idk if its the processor or graphics card) but I usually keep my screen open because I use dual screens its really handy and useful

what about the heat from the macbook? while the macbook is closed, won’t the heat damage the macbook’s screen? or is the macbook not getting hot although it’s still on an powering whatever monitor is being used? thnks!

  7. EShawful says:
