check this video “Full Sail Univeristy – Documentary of a Modern Day Scam”
I went to orientation here a few months back, and some of the people (Garry Jones) were just so… well, they sounded like rejected motivational speakers. It kinda pissed me off.
This school is such a joke. I wish i could get my money back.

I went here you have to know they give you Knowledge what you do with it is up to you! The industry is getting over crowded but if you can’t do anything but create it is a must.
It’s either this or Berklee.

@SCE2AUX UMMMMM bullshit. You can’t really do anything with UCF’s equipment, I’ve worked on UCF sets, and it’s crap. I’ve been allowed to borrow really expensive lighting sets from Full Sail for independent outside projects, UCF can’t do that, and their equipment is substandard and amateur. You don’t even get to do anything for like 2 years, it’s all theory and watching movies, whereas most Full Sail filmmakers have already seen all the movies, and we’re ready to make them.
@Danyell30533 definitely, and I’ve worked on projects with UCF students, and they’re completely useless, they wouldn’t know how to work on a real set to save their lives. They don’t even know how to do film paperwork, or what film gels are called. I heard a UCF DP call CTB and CTO blue and orange gels, I almost walked off the set there and then, but yeah, other than like one or two people, I wouldn’t work with any of them right out of college
@itr0863 um, you clearly know nothing of film at least, um even the lowest end jobs in film make around 200 a day, don’t feel sorry for any of us
Tuition for Game Design is 54k. That’s pretty basic pricing to be honest .
i saw some full sail students at a ucf party….i felt bad for them….nuff’ said.
70k loan for tuition and living expenses + low paying job after you graduate + low job demand = lulz
All this video means is THIS SCHOOL COST AN ARM AND A LED JUST FOR A BA DEGREE! DAMN! This school looks AMAZING, but I’m not going the be chased half my life by bill collectors!
@SCE2AUX I don’t know about the other programs at Full Sail but I know that our Film program has 10 times the equipment of UCF. So I would have to say that personally me paying more means I get more. However, I understand the theater program at UCF is quite good.
@marmolejoiscool92-I have tried and programing and all that stuff and their right, you can be some math idiot and work in that industry seeing as it most basic structure is based on math.
@marmolejoiscool92- but what they send you is different while they won’t look at grades they require at least a high school diploma or equivalent and then in the packet of stuff they send you they send you a self test that saids get 100% or they recommend getting math help, I called them and they want a mastery of at least algebra 2.
@Umishiru ive talked to the full sail guy who came to my school. they said they wont look at grades or gpas. they are looking for people who is passionate to have that career.
so theres still a chance? im a SOLID B student, i have all b’s xP and i have A+ in all my years of hypermedia/etc
and they grade strictly in my school on that xP
No they don’t care as long as you get a 2.0 aslo it just a self test so you won’t be turned down or anything but they suggest a mastery of at least to Alegbra 2.
